Private Front Yard

Client Goals

Originally an unused space, the owners wanted a private space to walk around or enjoy the outdoors, while minimizing maintenance and water use.

Design Solution

A hedge of podocarpus compliments the existing wood fence to create an enclosed, private space. The flagstone path leads to a small gathering space with a tranquil fountain for relaxation or socializing. The plants were chosen for frequent blooms and low maintenance requirements. A combination of plantings and open space provide a mixture of opportunities and uses.
